【摘要】:Thiscodeofpracticeprovidesrecommendationsfortheplanning,design,installation,commissioningandmaintenanceofvoicealarmsystemsassociatedwithfiredetectionandfirealarmsystemsinandaroundbuildings.Itdoesnotcoverthefiredetectionandfirealarmsystemsthemselves,whicharecoveredbyBS5839-1.Thiscodeofpracticealsocoverssystemsthatincludeamanualfacilityfortransmissionoflivevoicemessagesaswellasautomaticallygeneratedmessages.Systemsthatnecessitateonlymanualinterventionareoutsidethescopeofthiscodeofpractice.Thiscodeofpracticeappliestoextensionsandalterationstoexistingsystems,atleastinrespectofthedesign,installation,commissioning,maintenance,andthecertificationofthenewwork,albeitthattheextendedoralteredsystemmightnot,overall,complywiththerecommendationsofthisstandard."Voicealarmsystemscoveredbythiscodeofpracticearethosewhichautomaticallytransmitmessagesinresponsetosignalsfromtheirassociatedfiredetectionand!fire"alarmsystems.Systemsthatnecessitatemanualinterventionareoutsidethescopeofthiscodeofpractice,althoughvoicealarmsystemsnormallyincludeafacilityfortransmissionoflivevoicemessagesaswellasautomaticallygeneratedmessages.AlthoughthisPartofBS5839doesnotcovertheuseofvoicesoundersinafiredetectionand"fire"alarmsystem,recommendationsfortheuseofthesedeviceshavebeenincludedinAnnexE.ThisstandardappliesonlytovoicealarmsystemsforuseinatemperateclimatesuchasthatoftheUnitedKingdom.SportsgroundsarealsocoveredbyBS7827.
